Ways to Give

Valle Catholic Schools Foundation is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit. Our EIN is 43-1211002.

Thank you to our generous donors who are investing in the future of the young students we serve today who will become our leaders of tomorrow! Every year, many Valle alumni, parents, and friends make important contributions that are critical to the support and operation of Valle Catholic Schools. Their sacrifices create exciting opportunities for all our students and faculty. These people have chosen to invest themselves in the legacy of our students with extraordinary generosity. We are so thankful to each one of you!

Memorial / Tribute Gifts

In Memory Gifts

Memorial gifts are a special way to acknowledge a friend or loved one who has passed away. A letter will be sent to anyone that the donor indicates should receive an acknowledgement.

In Honor Gifts

Honor gifts are a meaningful way to commemorate special milestones-baptisms, confirmations, marriages, anniversaries, birthdays and more. A special acknowledgement will be sent to the honoree notifying them of your thoughtfulness.

Please share acknowledgement instructions when making a gift by mail, phone, or online.

Gifts of Stock

There are several benefits to donating gifts of stock. First, donors can avoid paying capital gains taxes on the amount of the appreciation. Second, donors can still deduct the full amount of the current value of the stock as a charitable income tax donation. If you cannot use all the deduction in the year you make the gift, you may carry over the deduction for an additional five years.

Gifts Of Real estate

Gifts of real estate can be an attractive way to make a substantial commitment and to realize important tax and income benefits at the same time. You may be able to significantly reduce the amount of income, capital gain, and estate taxes you otherwise would have to pay. Donating property can also relive you of all those management concerns.

Gifts of Retirement Plan Assets

Contributions to retirement plans can provide an excellent opportunity for growth as they grow tax-free, meaning that the growth or earnings are not taxed annually but can continue to grow. The earnings are only taxed when they are withdrawn, but this has allowed more dollars to be invested for more growth. Additional savings can occur if the recipient is in a lower tax bracket when the funds are withdrawn (for example, during retirement) than when the investments were growing.

Gifts of Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD)

Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD) allows individuals 70.5 years and older to donate to their charity of choice via direct transfer from the donor’s IRA.

Upon determining eligibility, donors communicate interest in donating to Valle Catholic Schools Foundation with their IRA custodian. The following information is typically required:

  • Specific dollar amount donor wishes to contribute (up to $100,000)
  • Request checks made payable to Valle Catholic Schools Foundation and mailed to PO Box 255 Ste. Genevieve, MO 63670

If your IRA custodian is unable to assist with initiating the QCD, our Donor Consultant, Jason Blum will gladly assist and can be reached at (573)883-2731.

Gift Of Life Insurance

Life insurance is an asset and a gift of life insurance that you no longer need can be an easy way for you to provide generous support to Valle Catholic Schools Foundation. A gift of life insurance may be right for you if:

  • Your life insurance policy is paid up or has substantial cash value
  • You have no loan outstanding against the policy
  • Your family is well-provided for by other means
  • You would like to make a generous gift to the Valle Catholic Schools Foundation
Gifts of Grain

Donors can make a gift to the Foundation by selling donated grain which allows the donor a greater tax reduction than donating cash alone. Gifts of agricultural commodities to the Foundation would qualify for the tax reductions and help support Foundation projects and programs benefitting Valle Catholic School students.
